Villager Cafe opened April 18, 2025 at 25 Mechanic Street in downtown Camden as a community-hub cafe attached to the Midcoast Villager newspaper (newsroom on the second floor). Publisher Aaron Britt and co-founder Kathleen Fleury Capetta built the cafe as an embodied news presence — print copies near the register, branded merch on the shelves, and "Fresh Brewed News" Fridays where readers discuss the Thursday edition with reporters and editors. Breakfast and lunch with coffee, blueberry pancakes, and lunch sandwiches. The cafe revenue plus the Inn at Camden Place next door subsidize the newspaper. Wed–Sun, 8am–2pm.
