Founded by Lisa and Chris Bruni, Portland Pottery grew from an apartment teaching practice into one of the Northeast's largest clay suppliers. The Washington Avenue studio offers adult clay classes, kids programs, summer camps, private lessons, and group parties, with a second teaching location on Fox Street opened in 2024. The gallery is open seven days a week and sells work made by staff, teachers, and students, much of it thrown right in the studio. The supply shop stocks clay, glazes, raw materials, tools, wheels, and kilns for at-home potters, studios, schools, and camps.
