Catbird opened October 16, 2025 at 279 Main Street in South Berwick in the former Secundo space. Owners Molly Pritchett and chef Josh Grindstaff met while working at Dufour in 2021 and most recently ran Northern Union in Ogunquit as GM and executive chef respectively. The menu is contemporary American with Middle Eastern accents — braised XO cabbage with crispy garlic and kimchi powder, cavatelli with braised oxtail ragu, duck breast with green lentils and persimmon pan sauce — paired with cocktails and a focused wine list. Tue–Sat, 4:30–9:30pm.
